Editorial policy
Open Everyday Living aims to make domestic subjects clear, specific and fair. We distinguish established information from opinion, write with care about varied household circumstances and correct meaningful errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and clarity
We review wording for clarity and take care not to present assumptions as facts. Where a subject depends on individual circumstances, we say so rather than implying that one approach fits every household. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page; please identify the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers. Commercial relationships do not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial control. Any sponsored material or partner placement is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial content.
Images and illustrations
Illustrations may be commissioned, selected or generated with AI. When an illustration is AI-generated, it is identified as such. Images are used to support the subject, not to stand as evidence for a claim.
The ordinary deserves a closer look
A shared home is shaped by small choices as much as big plans. We pay attention to the details people can adjust, discuss and make their own.
