Write for us
We welcome pitches that notice a specific part of shared everyday life and make it clearer for readers. Send a proposal through the Contact page, with the reason for writing set to an editorial question or pitch where available.
What we welcome
Pitch a concise explainer, a useful comparison, a piece of household history, a close look at a common assumption, or a guide shaped around a particular moment at home. Topics should fit our focus on routines, shared spaces, agreements, belongings or rituals.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the working idea, its central point, why it suits Open Everyday Living and what a reader will take away. Keep the scope distinct and manageable. We value clear thinking, a specific angle and language that respects different households; avoid pitches that depend on unsupported claims, professional advice or a single ideal way to live.
How to send it
Use the Contact page to send a proposal. A short outline is enough to begin; please include any relevant writing samples or links only if you choose to. Do not send a complete article unless we have asked for one.
The ordinary deserves a closer look
A shared home is shaped by small choices as much as big plans. We pay attention to the details people can adjust, discuss and make their own.
